How a Database Is Created
A database can be created using Ingres commands and SQL statements or by using Actian Director or Visual DBA (available on Windows only).
The process for creating a database and its tables is as follows:
1. Create a database.
2. Create base tables for the database.
3. Populate the tables with data.
