How You Create a Database
The process for creating a database is as follows:
1. Create a database.
2. Create base tables for the database.
3. Populate the tables with data.
You can perform these tasks using Ingres commands and SQL statements, or by using the GUI-based Actian Director or Visual DBA. Both GUI-based tools are available on Windows only.
