delobj Command--Delete Objects from Database
The delobj command deletes objects from the database.
For more information on using the delobj command to delete specific object types, see the Character-based Querying and Reporting Tools User Guide.
The delobj command has the following format:
delobj dbname|vnode::dbname[/server_class] objectspec | all [-silent]
[-uusername] [-Ggroupid]
dbname
Specifies the name of the database and, if required, the vnode and server_class, as described in Standard Flags and Parameters on page 14.
objectspec
Describes the object or objects to be deleted from the database. Either an objectspec or the word -all can be specified. You can optionally specify the silent -u and -G flags.
Details on specifying this parameter are described in Object Specification for delobj Command.
-all
Specifies that all objects owned by the effective user are to be deleted. You can optionally specify the silent -u and -G flags.
-silent
Runs in silent mode, suppressing status messages.
-uusername
Specifies the effective user for the session, as described in Standard Flags and Parameters on page 14.
-Ggroupid
Specifies a group identifier, as described in Standard Flags and Parameters on page 14.
On VMS, enclose the –Ggroupid parameter in double quotes.
