Performance Monitor
The Performance Monitor utility lets you view locking information in an easy-to-use GUI environment. To access it, click the Monitor button in Visual DBA.
By clicking on the Lock Information branch in the window, you can see a summary of the locking system information in the Detail pane.
Locking information that can be viewed includes:
• Lock lists
• Locked resources (databases, tables, pages, and others)
• Information about a lock (including the lock list, server, session, and resource of the lock)
The navigational tree in the left pane lets you drill down to the information you need quickly, making it easy to identify locking problems.
