The Cluster Service must be installed and configured on the cluster nodes before installing the Ingres High Availability Option. The Cluster Service is a component of Windows Failover Clustering that creates a server cluster and controls all aspects of its operation.

The nodes that will be part of a cluster must be part of a domain.

A generic account is needed on the domain controller for the Cluster Service.
