How to Remove the High Availability Option
Use the Failover Cluster Manager to remove the Ingres High Availability Option.
Follow these basic steps:
1. Take the Ingres Service offline in Cluster Core Resources.
2. Move the Resource Group that contains the Ingres Service to the node were you originally installed Ingres:
To do so, right-click Virtual Server Name in Failover Cluster Manager, More Actions, Move Core Cluster Resources, select node.
3. Stop all Ingres processes that are still running, as follows: Issue iimgmtsvr stop, exit Visual Manager, or kill both processes in Task Manager.
4. Uninstall Ingres on the node where you originally installed it. (To do so, select Control Panel, Programs and Features; find Ingres Installation in the list, and then select Remove Ingres).
All Ingres files on the local disk and shared disk are removed and the Ingres Service is no longer available in Failover Cluster Manager.
5. Uninstall Ingres on the second node.
