Start Ingres with Visual Manager
Starting and stopping Ingres is one of the many tasks you can perform with Visual Manager.
To start and stop Ingres using Visual Manager
1. Click Start, Actian IngresXX, Other Utilities, Actian Visual Manager.
The Visual Manager window appears.
2. Right-click the Installation Status branch and choose Start, as shown in this example:
Red icons turn green as the various components in the instance are started.
3. Right-click the Installation Status branch and click Stop.
The instance is stopped.
