From Ingres 11.0 64-bit to Ingres 12.0 64-bit
Use the unload/reload upgrade method to upgrade from Ingres 11.0 64-bit to Ingres 12.0 64-bit. You cannot use the upgradedb utility to upgrade directly from an 11.0 64-bit rpm build to a 12.0 64-bit rpm build. This is because the Ingres 11.0 GA release is for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 (64-bit)/Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (64-bit) and the Ingres 12.0 GA release is for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (64-bit)/Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 (64-bit)/SLES15 release.
Note: If you intend to upgrade your OS first (RH Linux 8 or higher), you could do an OS upgrade and then perform an upgradedb for Ingres 11.0 to Ingres 12.0.
