Installing OpenROAD into a New Ingres Instance
We recommend that you install OpenROAD 6.2 into a new Ingres instance.
Do not use OpenROAD 6.2 with a database that contains 4GL applications that a previous version of OpenROAD will continue to use. Instead, set up a separate copy of the 4GL applications for use with OpenROAD 6.2. If you need to maintain the applications for use with a prior version of OpenROAD and OpenROAD 6.2, do the following:
1. Perform the maintenance using the previous version of OpenROAD (back to OpenROAD 4.1).
2. Export the applications from that prior version of OpenROAD.
3. Import the applications into OpenROAD 6.2.
