Upgrading from Release 5.1
If OpenROAD 5.1 is in the same installation as an Ingres 10.1.0 or later instance, the installer can detect and upgrade version 5.1 to 6.2. You must consider the following:
• Migration of 4GL applications
• Migration of 3GL libraries
• Whether the 4GL applications need to work in a UTF8/Unicode environment
• Migration of OpenROAD eClient applications
• Migration of OpenROAD mClient applications
• Migration of OpenROAD Server applications
• Differences between the Ingres version used by OpenROAD 5.1 and OpenROAD 6.2
