Considerations for a New OpenROAD Installation
For a fresh installation of 32-bit OpenROAD, a standalone copy of the Ingres 10.1 client can be installed using a pre-defined Ingres instance ID. The value of this instance ID for 32-bit OpenROAD 6.2 is XC and cannot be changed.
For a fresh installation of 64-bit OpenROAD, a standalone copy of the Ingres 10.2 client can be installed using a pre-defined Ingres instance ID. The value of this instance ID for 64-bit OpenROAD 6.2 is XE and cannot be changed.
You can install a 32-bit Ingres 10.1.1, 32-bit Ingres 10.2.0, or a 32-bit Enterprise Access 3.0 instance before running the 32-bit OpenROAD 6.2 installation wizard. When you run the 32-bit OpenROAD 6.2 installation wizard, you can select a previously installed 32-bit Ingres or 32-bit Enterprise Access instance as the installation target.
You can install a 64-bit Ingres 10.2.0 or 64-bit Enterprise Access instance before running the 64-bit OpenROAD 6.2 installation wizard. When you run the 64-bit OpenROAD 6.2 installation wizard, you can select a previously installed 64-bit Ingres or 64-bit Enterprise Access instance as the installation target.
