5. Live Rollout
Estimate the time required and availability of necessary team members during rollout so that you can communicate to your business any necessary downtime for the upgrade in the production environment. You can then agree upon a “go live” date.
You should confirm the level of testing following rollout that is necessary to prove the live upgrade was successful. Then incorporate this information into the final rollout process. Only after this testing is complete should users be allowed access to the upgraded live applications.
