How You Can Configure Name Servers
Every installation of an OpenROAD Server has its own OpenROAD Name Server, represented by the Name Server node described in Name Server on page 23.
Each OpenROAD Name Server node has a Local subnode and a Remote subnode. A Name Server registration entry can appear under the Local or the Remote subnode. Here is hot to determine which kind of registration to use:
When you require an application with a given name (an AKA Name) to run on the local installation, create a local registration.
When an application with the same AKA Name is registered on a remote machine, create a remote registration. A remote registration is simply a pointer to the installation where the application is registered as a local registration.
