Arguments

hConnection
Connection handle that identifies the server. Connection handles are obtained with the
PvConnectServer()
function.

Address of a BTI_CHAR_PTR
True - MKDE_SERVR_ENGINE_CID
False - MKDE_CLNT_ENGINE_CID

pdbuApiVer
Version of the structures. Can be NULL

Major version - can be NULL.

Minor version - can be NULL.

pserverClientType
Only for MKDE_SRVR_ENGINE_CID.
Returns one of the following:
UNKNOWN_ENGINE_CLIENT (0)
NT_SERVER (1)
WIN32_CLIENT (3)
UNIX_SERVER (4)
CLIENT_CACHE (5)
VXWIN_SERVER(6)
VXLINUX_SERVER(7)
Return Values
P_OK
The operation was successful.
P_E_INVALID_HANDLE
Invalid connection handle.
P_E_FAIL
Failed for other reasons.
Remarks
The following precondition must be met:

Connection established by
PvConnectServer()
or if you are performing the operation on a local machine, P_LOCAL_DB_CONNECTION may be used as the connection handle.
