Installing Vector for Windows
You must extract the downloaded Vector distribution to disk and start the installer from the extracted directory.
You install Vector for Windows by using the setup wizard. To see more information about an option in the setup wizard, click its information button
To install Vector for Windows using the setup wizard
1. Run the setup executable located in the root directory of the Vector distribution and permit elevation in the User Access Control prompt, if enabled:

The first page of the Setup Wizard is displayed.
2. Click Next.
The license dialog is displayed.
3. Select "I accept the terms in the license agreement," and then click Next.
The Installation Mode page is displayed.
Note:  The Advanced option is recommended for advanced users only. It lets you select individual components that are not installed by default.
4. Select Express, and then click Next.
The Component Selection page is displayed.
5. Select Typical Server, and then click Next.
The Ready to Install Vector page is displayed. Since we selected Express installation mode, default values for all installation settings are used.
6. Click Install.
The installation program installs and configures Vector.
The Vector Configuration page is displayed.
7. Click Next.
The installation is completed. The Installation Summary is displayed.
8. Click Finish.
You are exited from the setup wizard.

Standalone installers are provided for:
Actian .NET Data Provider
Director
If you download any of these packages to the files directory of the Vector download, the setup wizard will display them as installable components. Alternatively, the standalone installers are included in the full Vector download package.
After they are installed, these components are listed as separate programs in the Programs feature of the Control Panel in Windows.
