iisuitz Command--Install IANA Time Zone Files
The iisuitz command installs the IANA time zone files into a Vector installation.
The utility can optionally download and unzip the latest IANA timezone code and data files, which are then compiled and installed into Vector using the IANA zic utility.
If the latest files are not downloaded, the time zone files delivered with the Vector distribution are installed.
The iisuitz command has the following format:
Linux
iisuitz [[-mkresponse|-exresponse [filename]] [-ftp] [-batch]
Windows
iisuitz [-update] [-v]
-mkresponse
(Linux only) Creates a response file that contains install parameters. This flag is valid only in an interactive install, and is mutually exclusive with the ‑exresponse flag.
-exresponse
(Linux only) Reads installation parameters from a response file during an interactive install. This flag is valid only in an interactive install and is mutually exclusive with the -mkresponse flag.
filename
(Linux only) Identifies a response file name for use with -mkresponse or -exresponse. The absolute path to the filename must be specified.
Default: ingrsp.rsp
-ftp
(Linux only) Downloads the time zone information using FTP.
-batch
(Linux only) Runs in non-interactive mode.
-update
(Windows only) Downloads the latest IANA time zone files before installing them.
Note: iisuitz -update updates the IANA time zone files only, not the IANA utilities zic and zdump, which remain at the level delivered.
-v
(Windows only) Displays detailed iisuitz output.
