Self-Signed Certificates
When self-signed certificates are used for TLS encryption for FIM, an additional configuration is required. The OS environment variable ENDPOINT_CA_CERT_PATH needs to be set and exported before starting the DBMS. The value of this configuration variable is the full path to the CA certificate bundle which contains the root certificate used to sign the certificate of the FIM server. If the environment variable ENDPOINT_CA_CERT_PATH is not set, the systems trust chain is used for the certificate validation check.
