High Availability
Vector can be configured for HA using the Red Hat Cluster Suite. This requires that Vector be installed on two systems with a shared disk system where the database files and logs are located. In the case of failure, the Red Hat Cluster manager will first attempt to restart the Vector Service on the primary node; if it fails to restart the Vector Service, it will be started on the secondary node.
To run Vector in a high availability cluster you must start two instances of the Vector AMI. To launch another Vector AMI, see
Deploying Vector from the AWS Marketplace. To configure the high availability cluster suite and define the services for HA Vector, see
Configuring the High Availability Option for Red Hat Cluster Suite.
