Managing Message Components
You can add, edit, and delete message components for a process. When you add steps on the canvas, the message components will be available for selection in the related step tab.
Adding Message Components
To add a message component
1. In the process file, go to the Configuration tab > Message Components section.
2. Click
.
The Add Message Component window is displayed.
3. Specify the following:
• Component Name - Type a name for the message component.
• Category - Select the required category:
– Iterator
– Aggregator
– Queue
– Invoker
– Transformer
• Type - Select the type of the message component. The options are available based on the selected category.
• Properties - Specify the value for the required properties. The properties are displayed based on the selected type.
4. Click Save.
The message component is displayed in the Message Components section.
Editing Message Components
To edit a message component
1. In the process file, go to the Configuration tab > Message Components section.
2. Click the message component that you want to edit and click
.
The Edit Message Component window is displayed.
3. Modify the required fields.
4. Click Save.
The changes are saved.
Deleting Message Components
To delete a message component
1. In the process file, go to the Configuration tab > Message Components section.
2. Click the message component that you want to delete and then click
.
A message asking for confirmation is displayed.
3. Click Yes.
The selected message component is deleted from the Message Components section.
Note: If the message component is used in a process, then you cannot delete the message component.
Manually Deploying Message Components
To manually deploy a message component:
1. Obtain the .zip file related to the message component that you want to deploy and copy it to the following location:
C:\ProgramData\Actian\DataConnect\dc-rcp-64-bit-11.X.X-X\Plug-Ins
2. Restart DataConnect.
