Prerequisites for the High Availability Option
The following are prerequisites for installing Actian X High Availability Option on Windows:
• A version of Windows supported by the Actian X High Availability option. For details, see the Readme.
• An iSCSI storage solution on your Windows Server Failover Cluster.
• A valid license file for each cluster node.
• The Actian X directory (II_SYSTEM) must be installed on a local non-cluster drive.
• For a clustered DBMS, the following DBMS related files must be available on a cluster file system:
– Database
– Checkpoint
– Journal
– Dump
– Work
• Actian X must be installed as a service.
