Custom Search Navigator
To search a map for various content, perform the following:
1. Click the .
2. Go to the Search bar.
3. Choose the search criteria using the following controls:
a. In the Category drop-down, select which part of the map you want to search.
b. In the Type drop-down, select the type of item you want to search for.
c. To further refine your search once you’ve chosen a Type, you can choose to:
If Source Field/Target Field was chosen, select the field you want to search.
If Global Variable was chosen, please click the variable you would like to search.
If Text String type was chosen, manually enter the text you would like to search.
The find buttons (Next, Previous, First, Last) allow you to navigate to parts of the map containing the search criteria.
If, while searching, you change Source or Target connections, you must click the last icon in the Where Used toolbar called Refresh Search expressions. Doing so allows the Map Designer to read the new data structure before continuing to search.
 
The Custom Search Navigator feature is only available for XML-based artifacts.
