Deploying to Integration Manager
This feature allows you to deploy one or more already packaged (djar) files from Actian DataConnect directly to Integration Manager. This is much faster than manually creating configurations, one at a time, on Integration Manager. During deployment you can select an Integration Manager connection that was added through the Preferences dialog or create a new connection. You can use an existing endpoint for quick deployment.
You can run the package using Integration Engine. For information about executing a
djar using Integration Engine, see
Using Runtime Engine.
Ensure that the Integration Manager connections are added and configured from
Options > Preferences dialog. For more information, see
Setting Package and Deploy Preferences and
Setting Integration Manager Preferences.
Note: The Single Sign-On Package Deployment feature is not currently compatible with Actian ID or Google ID for Integration Manager on Actian DataCloud. However, you can deploy to on-premise installations of Integration Manager.
IMPORTANT! The deploy to Integration Manager works with Integration Manager version 2.0 or higher only.
To deploy a djar file to Integration Manager:
1. In Project Explorer, select one or more djar files.
Note: You can select multiple djar files by pressing the <Ctrl> key.
2. Right-click and select Deploy to Integration Manager.
The Deployment Wizard dialog is displayed with the default connection selected.
If you have multiple Integration Manager connections, and you want to deploy to a connection that is not the default connection, select a connection from the Connection drop-down list.
3. (Optional) Click Edit Connection to open the Manage IM Connections dialog. From here, you can:
– Add a new Integration Manager connection by clicking the (+) icon and specifying the connection details like Connection name, URL, Username, and Password.
– Edit an existing Integration Manager connection by selecting it and specifying the changed connection details like URL, Username, and Password.
– Delete an existing Integration Manager connection by selecting it and clicking the delete icon.
– Choose a default connection by clicking a connection and selecting the Is Default check box.
– Test your Connection by selecting it and clicking Test Connection. A success message is displayed if the connection is established.
4. Select the Connection where you want to deploy and click Next.
5. Review the details of packages being deployed and then click Next.
• Package Name - The name of djar file that is being deployed.
• Remote Configuration Name - The name of the configuration job assigned in Integration Manager.
• Status - If the file being uploaded already exists in Integration Manager, then the Status is shown as Conflict. In that case click the job Configuration Name and change it. If the file being uploaded does not exist on Integration Manager, then the Status is OK.
6. Click Finish.
Note: On the Integration Manager side, the configuration name is provided as the package (djar) name, the entry point is set after retrieving from each package, and the Active status is set as False. You can connect to the Integration Manager where you deployed and verify that a new configuration has been added. Multiple configurations are added if you deployed multiple djar files.
