Security Folder at Installation Level
Each security folder node at the installation level represents a user that has been configured within an Actian database installation. The Security Folder contains the following subfolders with nodes:
Users (see User Node at Installation Level)
Groups (see Group Node)
Roles (see Role Node)
Profiles (see Profile Node)
User Node at Installation Level
Each user node represents a user that has been configured within an Actian database installation. The title of the node is the user name of the user.
User nodes contain no child nodes.
Right-clicking a user node and selecting Modify opens the Modify User dialog (see Modify a User) where you can view and edit the details of the installation user.

Group Node
Each group node represents a group that has been defined within an Actian database installation. The node title is the name of the group.
Group nodes contain no child nodes.
Right-clicking a group node and selecting Modify opens the Modify Group dialog (see Modify a Group), where you can view or edit group details.

Role Node
Each role node represents a role that is defined within an Actian database installation. The node title is the name of the role.
Role nodes contain no child nodes.

Profile Node
Each profile node represents a profile that is defined within an Ingres or Actian Vector installation. The title of the node is the name of the profile.
Profile nodes contain no child nodes.
Right-clicking a profile node and selecting Modify opens the Modify Profile dialog (see Modify a Profile), where you can view or edit profile details.
