Stop a Running Server
You stop a running server component from the Instance Explorer. Servers are listed under the Management/Servers folder of an installation.
To stop a running component
1. Right-click the server node in the Instance Explorer.
2. Select Stop Server on the context menu.
The Stop dialog appears. The component is stopped, displaying progress on the dialog.
3. Click Close to close the Stop dialog.
