Modify a Simple Server Connection Definition
You modify a simple Server Connection Definition (one with only one login, one connection, and no attributes) with the Modify Server Connection Definition dialog (see Modify Server Connection Definition Dialog).
To modify a simple Server Connection Definition
1. In the Instance Explorer, open the Server Connection Definitions folder for the installation.
2. Right-click a Server Connection Definition node in the Instance Explorer and select Modify on the context menu.
The Modify Server Connection Definition dialog opens (see New Server Connection Definition Dialog).
3. Change the user name and password, if desired.
4. Change whether the login information is private.
5. Change the remote network node, if desired.
6. Select a different communication protocol for the connection, if desired.
7. Specify a different listen address (port), if desired.
8. Choose whether the connection information should be kept private.
9. Choose whether you want to test the connection when you save it.
10. Click OK.
Your changes are saved, and the dialog closes.
