Set Whether to Show Advanced Connect Options
By default, the Connect to Instance dialog shows only the options necessary for connecting to a local or remote installation. However, if an installation is set up to use both operating system and database (or DBMS) passwords, two passwords must be entered in order to connect to the database. Selecting this option changes the Connect to Instance dialog to display the DBMS password field.
To change whether the Advanced Connect Option is shown
1. Click Home, Options to open the Options dialog.
2. Click the triangle at the left of the Environment heading and then click the General heading.
3. Select or clear the “Show Advanced Connect Options” checkbox.
4. Click OK.
The changes will take effect immediately and will be reflected the next time you open the Connect to Instance dialog.
