Interface Design
Director Desktop Client is a Java application. Director accesses local database installations through the Ingres Tools API and through some existing Ingres tools.
The core presentation layer components of Director Desktop Client includes:
• Menu ribbon
• Context menus
• Tabbed multiple document interface (MDI) (see Multiple Document Interface)
• Instance Explorer (see Instance Explorer)
These components are laid out in the following basic scheme. Context menus are available in the Instance Explorer and tabbed MDI.
