New Environment Requirements
To migrate from any previous release of OpenROAD to OpenROAD 11.2, you will want to maintain your original environments (development, test, and production) in working order while establishing a new OpenROAD 11.2 environment to perform the migration.
The OpenROAD 11.2 environment has the following requirements:
• Install OpenROAD 11.2 on a separate machine from your previous version's environments (recommended).
Note:  It may be possible to install some components of the new 11.2 environment on the same machine. For more information, see Alternatives in Establishing a New OpenROAD Environment.
• If the installer does not find an Ingres 10.1.1 or later installation to use as a target for OpenROAD 11.2, it installs OpenROAD 11.2 as a standalone version with an embedded Ingres 10 client.
• OpenROAD 11.2 must be installed.
