The recommendations in this chapter explain how to upgrade an OpenROAD 6.2 installation and have two objectives:

• To minimize time and effort required to upgrade
Upgrading OpenROAD 6.2 to OpenROAD 11.2 is straightforward and inexpensive, provided the upgrade is properly prepared for and carefully executed. Some code changes might be required to perform the upgrade.
