Troubleshooting Database Access
Database access is protected through DBMS passwords. Connecting a client application through JDBC or ODBC is achieved through the user “actian” and a password that is unique to the instance. The default password is the EC2 Instance ID, which you can find in the AWS EC2 Console on the Instances tab under Description with the label “Instance ID.” For more information, see Start Director and Connect to the Vector EC2 Instance.
Troubleshooting is a process of defining and correcting a problem that occurs in an otherwise functioning Vector installation and includes narrowing down the problem to a well-defined point, identifying the cause of failure, and eliminating it. For details on the process, see Troubleshooting Vector.
