Creating Macro Sets using Preferences Dialog
To create a new macro set using the Preferences dialog:
1. Do any of the following:
Go to Options > Manage Macros.
Go to Options > Preferences. Expand DataConnect and click Macros.
The Preferences dialog is displayed.
2. In Macro Definition File, click Browse and specify the macro definition file where the macro set must be saved. For more information about macro definition file, see Macro Definition Files.
3. In the Macro Sets section, click /download/attachments/24975421/Map_Mapping_AddField_Icon.png?version=1&modificationDate=1487964026526&api=v2.
A macro set is added with the default name as Macro Set 1(0).
4. Click within the name to change the name of the macro set.
You can now add macros to this macro set. For more information about adding macros, see Creating Workspace-level Macros.
5. Click Apply and Close.
Tip...  You can also add a new macro to a macro set by:
- Using the Create Macro menu option. For more information, see Creating Macro using Create Macro Menu Option.
- Selecting an existing text in a macro enabled text box. For more information, see Creating a Macro by Selecting a Value.
- Typing $(<macro-name>). For more information, see Creating Macros by Typing a Name.
