Process Steps and Components
Steps are the building blocks of a process. They are configured and linked together, in the order of execution, to form a workflow. Any new process consists of a Start and Stop step. You may add a script to the Start and Stop steps and connect them to make the process complete. A complex process workflow will typically include multiple step types, like Decision steps with true and false paths, Process steps that call other processes, Queue steps that call message queue sessions and others.
For steps such as queues, iterators, aggregators, invokers, or transformers, you must create a component instance and then associate the instance with the step. When you add steps on the canvas, the message components will be available for selection in the related step tab.
