Deleting a Database
Before you can delete a database, the following conditions must be met:
The Instance Explorer must be connected to the installation from which you want to delete the database (see Connect to an Actian Database Instance).
A database node must be selected in the Instance Explorer.
You can delete a database in the following ways:
From the context menu of a database node: Delete
On the main menu ribbon when a user database node is selected in the Instance Explorer: Database, Delete Database (see Database Tab)

Delete Database Dialog
The Delete Database dialog contains the following read-only pages:
General
Displays the name of the selected database to be deleted
Output Log
Displays the log output of the delete command after you click OK

Delete a Database
To delete a database, the Instance Explorer must be connected to the installation from which you want to delete the database (see Connect to an Actian Database Instance).
To delete a database
1. In the Instance Explorer, right-click the database node and select Delete from the context menu.
The Delete Database dialog appears (see Delete Database Dialog).
2. Select the effective user.
This is the effective user name for the session. Valid only for a privileged user, DBA, or sessions that have the db_admin database permission.
3. Click OK.
A confirmation dialog appears.
4. Click OK to confirm the deletion.
The Output Log page is displayed (see Delete Database Dialog), and deletion progress is reported.
5. Click Close to close the dialog.
The database is removed from the Databases folder in the Instance Explorer.
