Configuring EMA
Default Configuration
The installation process creates a default configuration defined at the global, host, installation, database, and individual service check levels. The configuration specifies what is monitored, how often, threshold values, and log file names.
The configuration is stored in various .cfg files in either of these locations:
The directory specified in the install.sh command when you installed EMA.
An ema subdirectory under the current working directory, if you did not specify an external directory during installation.
To change the configuration, these Nagios configuration files need to be modified.
For example, you may want to add additional hosts or Ingres instances for monitoring.
