Download Directory
All backup files, whether checkpoints or configuration files, are downloaded and unzipped to the download location
The download directory is either the default location or the custom location you specified when registering the agent.
The default download directory is:
Linux: /home/username/actian/IngresXX/backup/downloads
Windows: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Actian\IngresXX\Backup\Downloads
where XX is the instance ID and username is the user running the agent.
You must then copy or move the files to the appropriate location in the Ingres installation before performing further operations, such as rollforwarddb.
Using the Console to Download Database Backups
To perform a restore, you must download the backup to the Ingres installation.
To download a backup and restore a database
1. Log in to the Actian DataCloud Backup Console on the Web.
2. Click Backups in the left pane of the console. The Backups page is displayed.
3. Select the backup you want to use, and then click Action, Download.
The backup files (checkpoint and associated journal and dump files) are downloaded and unzipped to the download location (as described in
Download Directory).
4. Copy or move the checkpoint, journal, and dump files to the appropriate location in your Ingres installation.
5. Restore the database using the rollforwarddb command (either at the command line or using Actian Director) in the local Ingres installation.

Using the Console to Download Configuration Backups
You can download your backed-up configuration files if you need to restore them.
To download configuration files
1. Log in to the Actian DataCloud Backup Console on the Web.
