A backup agent must be registered and running to perform a download.

To download files to an alternate host, the encryption password provided during agent registration on that alternate host must be the same as that used on the original machine from which the backup was uploaded. The encryption password is used to generate a one-way 256-bit symmetric encryption key, which is used to encrypt the backup before upload. The same key is used during download for decrypting the data; if the key is not the same, the download will fail.
