This chapter details how to install and configure OpenROAD on a UNIX or Linux platform.
OpenROAD installs only into an existing supported Ingres installation (for supported versions, see the latest version of the readme). OpenROAD 64-bit versions must be installed into the 64-bit version of Ingres/Net. For instructions, see the following section.
Before starting the installation, thoroughly review the information in this chapter.
Important!  Back up your existing Ingres installation before installing OpenROAD.
