Creating a Map
A map is a set of rules for transforming data from the input (source) to the outputs (targets).
You can create a map with or without using the Map Wizard:
• To create a map using the map wizard, see Creating a Map Using New Map Wizard
• To create a map without using the map wizard, see Creating a Map Without Using Map Wizard.
Note:  When creating a map in a workspace that already has only XML-based artifacts and if v9 compatibility mode is not enabled, then DataConnect prompts you to enable v9 compatibility mode. Else, the new map is created in JSON format.
