SDK Developer Guides
Provides information about SDKs that can be used by a developer to create new components and create, edit, and execute new or existing integrations:
MCF SDK - You can use the MCF SDK to create your own connectivity and Message Components for Process Designer. The Client SDK samples and Reference Manual are available on GitHub®.
Client SDK - The Client SDK was updated in 12.1 to work with the DataConnect SDK to enable remote execution of jobs. The Client SDK was also updated to support both “.” and “–” where the version number of the package is concerned. The Client SDK samples and Developer Guide are available on GitHub®.
DataConnect SDK - You can use the DataConnect SDK to create and edit artifacts and execute them using the Actian DataConnect engine. The DataConnect SDK samples and Developer Guide are available on GitHub®.
There is a secondary GitHub repository which serves as a Maven repository for the samples projects. For more information, see SDK Developer Guides.
IBM DB2 11.5.5 connectors
Added new single mode (both source and target) and multimode (target) IBM DB2 connectors and DB2 loader (both source and target) to support the latest version of DB2 11.5.5. For more information, see IBM DB2 11.5 Universal Database, IBM DB2 11.5 Universal Database Multimode and IBM DB2 Loader.
Preference
New Project and Artifact Portability Options have been added to General Preferences which allow to convert referenced artifact paths to relative paths (relative to parent) or WORKSPACE_ROOT macro. This makes sharing artifacts easier. For more information, see Setting General Preferences.
A new preference has been added under Package and Deploy for creating an external rtc when packaging. For more information, see Specifying Package File Location.
Data Profiler
Data Profiler Wizard - The new Data Profiler Wizard is a guided workflow that walks users through creating a new profile. The wizard provides assistance in quickly configuring the most commonly used data quality rules, and selecting the desired fields. For more information, see Creating a Profile Using Data Profile Wizard.
Data Profiler templates - Two new Data Profiler templates that illustrate how to use the new Duplicate Clusters metric and the Data Profiler Invoker have been added. For more information, see Getting Started with Templates.
Data Profiler controls - Multiple user experience improvements have been made in Data Profiler regarding the icons, labels, and controls. For example disabled metric rows are now grayed out, Add, Remove, Move, Edit buttons have been replaced with icons, UI label Metric or Metrics has been changed to Rule or Rules.
Schema Mismatch - The UI can now automatically detect source schema changes and prompts the user to either accept or reject these changes. For more information, see Specifying Source Connection for Data Profile.
Duplicate Cluster - A new rule has been added to allow users to identify duplicate records within profiles. Multiple new algorithms are provided to expand fuzzy matching capabilities. For more information, see Duplicate Clusters (Fuzzy Matching).
Retaining the source order - A new source property enables users to preserve the order of the source data when it is written to the targets defined in a profile. For more information, see Setting Data Profile Preferences and Creating a Profile Using Data Profile Wizard.
Improved logging - Improved logging to the Results tab during Data Profile execution. With these enhancements, users will receive real-time progress and status updates in the console of Data Profiler. For more information, see Validating and Running Profile.
Matches Regex - Expanded the number of pre-defined regular expressions to use with this metric. Labels were updated to display both the name and value of the regular expression. For more information, see Matches Regex.
File Folder Queue
A new version of the File Folder Queue (2.0) is available in this release. This new version includes several usability enhancements and improvements. For more information, see File Folder Queue.
File Transfer Iterator and Aggregator
New versions (2.0) of the File Transfer Iterator and Aggregator are available in this release. This new version provides an updated list of properties and several user experience enhancements. For more information see File Transfer Iterator and File Transfer Aggregator.
Rest API Invoker
Several enhancements and improvements were made to the REST Invoker Design Client. These changes enable the component to fully support test and validation while configuring REST endpoints. Testing and validation can occur in the Design Client before committing the configuration to the REST Invoker. For more information, see REST API Invoker 3.x.
Zip Aggregator
New versions (2.0) of the Zip Aggregator is available in this release. For more information see Zip Aggregator 2.0.
Zip and Unzip Invoker
Zip and Unzip invoker have been added to the component list. You can use Zip Invoker to compress a file or a folder and its contents and the Unzip Invoker to unzip, decompress, or extract an existing zip file.
Connectors
Enhancements and improvements have been done to Salesforce connector. It now supports endpoint API version 54.0.
The traditional ServiceNow connector has been renamed to ServiceNow Multimode and a new ServiceNow single mode connector has been added.
The traditional NetSuite connector has been renamed to NetSuite Multimode and a new NetSuite single mode connector has been added.
Connector Migration Utility enhancement now allows you to safely migrate from older versions of SQL Server to newer versions of SQL Server.
EZscript
A new optional parameter to specify the time zone has been added for CDate Function, DateValMask Function, DateValue Function, and DateSerial Function.
Process Designer
Improved debugging to allow users to optionally write the debug info provided in the GUI into a log file.
Added support in the debugger to display macro values and one dimensional arrays.
A GetMessage property was added for the Zip Aggregator so that users no longer have to write script in a separate step to write the output zip file to disk. For more information, see Zip Aggregator 2.0.
The Queue step can now read multiple messages using a loop. See Queue Step.
Runtime Engine
You can use the -b command line option in concert with the -RC option to reference an external runtime configuration file (external from the djar). The -b option is used to specify the djar and the -RC is used to specify the external runtime configuration file. For more information, see Global Options.
Troubleshooting Assistance
In an effort to make troubleshooting and problem resolution easier for novice users, a mechanism has been provided where users are presented with information related to the error they're receiving in Map Designer. For more information, see Troubleshooting Map Execution, Troubleshooting Process Execution, and Troubleshooting Profile Execution.
Others
Linux compiler version is upgraded from 4.8.9. to 11.2.
The Java Storage client has been updated to v2.3.0.
Eclipse has been upgraded to 2021-12.
Updated FTP 4.1.0 component with latest versions of Apache Commons Net and JSch libraries.
Updated log4j to 2.17.0 to address recent security vulnerabilities.
Java has been upgraded to Java 11 for the AIX engine.
