Packaging and Deploying Integration Artifacts

This topic describes how to generate a portable package (.djar) file from your project, and deploy it. A portable package (.djar) file is used for executing an integration Using Runtime Engine, or for Using Integration Manager.
After designing and building integration artifacts (maps, processes, etc.) in a project, the New Package Wizard can be used to generate a compressed, portable .djar file. The .djar file contains all the artifacts in your project. Additional artifacts can be added to the package later. For more information, see Creating a Package.
Basic steps to create and deploy a package:
1. Set the location to store the .djar file. See Specifying Package File Location. This step is optional. By default, the .djar file is saved to your workspace.
2. Create a .djar file. This step is required. See Creating a Package.
3. Deploy the .djar file. This step is required. You have two options for deploying:
Execute the .djar file directly from the command line of the engine. See Using Runtime Engine.
Provide the .djar file to Integration Manager. See Using Integration Manager.
