Profile

The Profile page holds your personal details and how the interface looks for you: your photo, your name, the email you sign in with, and your interface language. These settings belong to you, not to an organization, so they apply in every organization you belong to.

Every member can open their profile, including members who only use Explorer.

Open your profile

Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar to open the account menu, then click Profile. You can also go to Settings → Profile in Studio or Explorer.

If you open Settings from Explorer and you don't have access to Studio, AI Analyst opens Profile for you.

Save or discard your changes

Changes on this page aren't saved as you type. When you change something, a bar appears at the bottom of the page with Unsaved changes:

  • Click Save to apply all your changes at once. You see "Profile saved."
  • Click Discard to undo them.

If you switch to another Settings section with unsaved changes, AI Analyst asks Discard unsaved changes?. Click Keep editing to go back, or Discard changes to leave without saving.

If saving fails, you see "We couldn't save your profile. Please try again."

Photo

Your photo is shown with your name, for example in the account menu. If you haven't uploaded a photo, AI Analyst shows the picture from your sign-in provider if there is one, otherwise your initials.

To add or change your photo:

  1. Under Photo, click Upload photo. If you already have a photo, click Replace.
  2. Choose a PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF image up to 1 MB.
  3. Click Save.

To remove your photo, click Remove photo, then click Save.

If the image is too large or in another format, you see "That image is larger than 1 MB. Pick a smaller one." or "Pick a PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF image."

Personal details

Name

  1. Under Personal details, edit First name and Last name.
  2. Click Save.

Both names are required, and each can be up to 256 characters. Enter a person's name: a name must contain at least one letter, and URLs, www., < and > aren't accepted. Otherwise you see "Enter a person's name, not a URL or markup."

Email

Email shows the address you sign in with. It comes from your sign-in provider (email and password, Google, Microsoft, or your organization's single sign-on) and can't be changed here.

You can't add, remove or verify other email addresses on this page, and there's no option to connect or disconnect Google or Microsoft accounts.

Note

If you sign in through your organization's Enterprise SSO, that account belongs to that one organization. It is separate from any password, Google or Microsoft sign-in you might use with the same email address. See Enterprise SSO.

Interface language

The Interface language section changes the language of the AI Analyst interface. You can choose:

  • English
  • French
  • Dutch
  • Portuguese
  • Japanese

To change the language:

  1. Under Interface language, select a language.
  2. Click Save.

The interface switches to the new language without reloading the page. The setting applies in every organization you belong to and follows you to other browsers and devices.

The interface language doesn't set the language of AI Analyst's answers. AI Analyst aims to reply in the language you write your question in.

How the language is chosen

AI Analyst uses the first of these that applies:

  1. The language you saved on Profile.
  2. The last language used in this browser.
  3. The first supported language in your browser's language settings. Regional variants count, so French (Belgium) gives French.
  4. English.

On a browser you haven't used before, the interface may show your browser's language for a moment before switching to your saved language.

Self-managed deployments

On self-managed deployments that sign in through Keycloak (the built-in identity service), saving your name from Profile can fail with "We couldn't save your profile. Please try again." Ask the team that runs AI Analyst for your organization if you need your name changed.
