Motherduck¶

You can connect your MotherDuck cloud database to Actian AI Analyst in just a few steps. Once connected, Actian AI Analyst's agents can start analyzing your data using natural language.

What You'll Need¶

• A valid MotherDuck access token
• The name of your MotherDuck database (after md:)

1. Get Your Access Token from MotherDuck¶

To connect Actian AI Analyst, you'll need an access token from your MotherDuck account.

Steps to generate a token:¶

1. Log into your MotherDuck account.
2. Go to Settings → Integrations → Access Tokens.
3. Click Create Access Token.
4. Copy the generated token — you'll need to paste it into Actian AI Analyst.

2. Open the MotherDuck Connection Page¶

In Actian AI Analyst:\ Click Connections → Plus button → Select MotherDuck

3. Fill in Connection Details¶

• Display Name
  Give your data source a friendly name (e.g. Marketing Analytics).
• Database Name
  Enter the name of your MotherDuck database.\ &#xNAN;(Example: if your DB is md:my_database, enter my_database.)
• Access Token
  Paste the token you copied from MotherDuck.
• Database Schemas
  Select specific schemas you want to connect.

4. Test and Save¶

• Click Test Connection to verify access.
• If successful, click Save Connection.

✅ You're Done!¶

Actian AI Analyst is now connected to your MotherDuck database. Agents can start answering business questions instantly using your data.
