Organization

The Organization page in Settings holds your organization's identity: its logo, display name and contact email. It also shows the organization's slug and ID, and lets you leave the organization.

To open it, go to Settings → Administration → Organization in Studio. When you select Settings in the Studio sidebar, AI Analyst opens this page first.

Availability

  • Who can do this: members with the Manage organization capability can change and save this page. Members with the Edit capability can open it, but their changes are not saved. Members without Studio access see Studio access is required to view settings. A member whose only Studio access is Manage members in a Workspace may see the page stay on its loading message.
  • Deployment: Actian SaaS and self-managed deployments.

The Organization row in the Settings navigation is shown only to members with Manage organization. A member without that capability who opens Settings in Studio still lands on this page and can edit the fields. When they click Save, the save fails with We couldn't save the organization. Please try again. To get the capability, ask a member who has Manage members and access (see Members).

The organization logo appears in the organization switcher at the top of the sidebar.

  1. Go to Settings → Administration → Organization.
  2. In the Logo section, click Upload logo (or Replace if a logo is already set).
  3. Pick a PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF image up to 1 MB.
  4. Click Save in the bar at the bottom of the page.

To remove the logo, click Remove logo, then click Save.

A new or removed logo stays pending until you save. SVG files are not accepted. If the file is the wrong type or too large, AI Analyst shows Pick a PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF image. or That image is larger than 1 MB. Pick a smaller one.

Change the display name or contact email

The Identity section has two fields:

Field What it is
Display name The organization's name as members see it. It must be 1 to 256 characters.
Contact email Optional. An organization-level address recorded for the organization. It is separate from members' own sign-in emails. It must be a real mailbox that Actian can send important emails to. To remove it, clear the field and save.

To change either field:

  1. Go to Settings → Administration → Organization.
  2. In Identity, edit Display name or Contact email.
  3. Click Save in the bar at the bottom of the page. When the save succeeds, you see Organization saved.

Organization details

The Details section is read-only:

  • Slug: the organization's short identifier. AI Analyst generates it once, when the organization is created, from the display name: lowercase letters and numbers, plus a short random suffix. Any other characters become hyphens, and a name with no Latin letters or digits (for example, a name written only in Japanese) becomes org plus the suffix. The slug does not change when you rename the organization.
  • Organization ID: a unique identifier for the organization. Quote it when you contact support.

Save or discard your changes

Changes on this page are not saved automatically. As soon as you edit a field or pick a logo, a bar appears at the bottom of the page with Unsaved changes, Save and Discard.

  • Click Save to apply all pending changes at once.
  • Click Discard to go back to the saved values.

If you move to another Settings section with unsaved edits, AI Analyst asks Discard unsaved changes? Choose Keep editing to stay, or Discard changes to continue. Leaving Settings another way, reloading the page or closing the tab does not ask first, so save before you leave.

Leave the organization

The Danger zone section contains Leave. Leaving removes your access to the organization's Workspaces, data and AI Analysts until someone invites you back.

  1. Go to Settings → Administration → Organization.
  2. In Danger zone, click Leave.
  3. In the Leave this organization? dialog, click Leave organization.

Last member who can manage access

If you are the only member with the Manage members and access capability, Leave is disabled and the page shows You're the last Admin, so you can't leave this organization. First give Manage members and access to another member on Members, then leave.

Members without Studio access cannot open this page, so they have no Leave button in Settings. When an organization's trial has ended, every member can also leave from that full-screen notice with Leave this organization. See Trial and organization deletion.

Deleting an organization

You cannot delete an organization from Settings. The Danger zone contains only Leave.

On Actian SaaS, contact Actian to have an organization deleted. By default, deletion is not immediate: the organization first enters a 14-day pending-deletion period, during which a member with Manage organization can restore it. After that, the organization and its data are permanently removed. For details, see Trial and organization deletion.

Chart theme

The colors, typeface and axis styling of your organization's charts are set on a separate page: Settings → Administration → Charts. See Charts.

Other Settings pages

The Settings navigation lists three personal rows first, with no heading, followed by two labelled groups: Administration and Environment. You see a row only if you have a capability that allows it. The Security and Notifications rows under Administration are the organization-wide versions of the personal rows.
